ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A NEW AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION BLS TRAINING CENTER? WHY DON’T YOU CONSIDER LAWSON TEC?
We are a medium sized training center with around 100 active instructors that train approximately 5000 people a year in CPR. Our instructors are entrepreneurs, working for themselves and for others. Although we do not hire instructors on a regular basis, we can give you the names of our sites that do. We are a “hands on” training center, always available by phone or in person. We are a resource for new information and are able to answer all kinds of daily questions and concerns.
If you are looking at this page, it’s possible that you are looking for a change. So, the following is the information you will need if you wish to transfer to our training center. 1. Please contact me by phone to talk about changing or to make an appointment to meet with me. 2. We will talk with your current training center to confirm you are an instructor in good standing, who is compliant with all AHA and Training Center policies. 3. You will need to send your training center a Letter of Transfer. (Click on the MS Icon at the bottom of the page and bring it with you when you meet with me.) Your current TC will then send me your file, confirming that you are a current instructor, within 30 days of receiving the Letter of Transfer. 4. I will need a copy of your current Instructor card 5. You will need to be successfully monitored teaching an AHA BLS course, in our office in Herndon, VA.
The following are the costs: 1. $85.00 annual membership fee, that pays the administrative costs and annual updates and/or rollouts that occur. This fee is paid upon successful completion of your initial monitoring with us. Cards cannot be issued without having paid this fee. 2. $6.00 per participant card. So, when you teach a course, you send Lawson TEC the course roster, along with $6.00 per each participant, and I will send you back the completed cards, usually within 48 hours. The goal of the TC is to offer the community quality based CPR with experienced instructors who enjoy the teaching process. The TC will do everything it can to keep you up-to-date and informed of all the new information. I look forward to talking with you soon! Janney Lawson, Training Center Coordinator
